The Dutch electricity grid will be modernised over the coming years. It needs to be able to transport more electricity and be made more suitable to decentralised generated energy. One specification arising from this is tuning the grid to supply and demand. Cofely is developing ‘smart grids’, clever mains networks which optimise the transport of energy to a lower and more constant level.
