Remit: Provide a renewable energy supply which fully complies with the requirements of the Municipality of Amsterdam
Principle: Mahler V.O.F.
Mahler4 concerns the expansion of Amsterdam’s Zuid-as (Southern Axis), a highly compact and dynamic urban district that combines living, working and leisure environments. Not a soulless business park, but a lively new city centre with an inspiring shopping and entertainment area. A total of eight office blocks, some 200 apartments, a car park and shops and catering establishments will be realised here. A dream location for entrepreneurs, employees and residents.
Cofely is responsible for Mahler4’s total energy supply for the next 15 years. Cofely will handle the energy supply and the administration of the power plant and distribution grids for electricity, heating, cooling and hot tap water. Cofely will remain owner and operator of the power supply system. The energy installation will be almost entirely CO2 neutral, thanks to the use of heat pumps, long-term energy storage facilities and renewable energy to power the plant. Cofely informed its client of the possibility of receiving government subsidies, which can help cut the initial costs for the energy installation by 20%.
Advantages to the client:
Single point of contact: Instead of several contacts at various companies for installation, maintenance and administration, Cofely offers a single point of contact for the entire energy supply (electricity, heating, cooling) and the maintenance activities.
